Though many of you aren’t paying attention, the NBA All-Stqt Game and its associated events are taking place this weekend. Even in its current diminished state, the All-Star game itself remains the crown jewel of the weekend. For sneaker enthusiasts one of the most anticipated aspects of this time of the season are the released around that time, several of which are the sneakers that the All-Stars will wear on the court.
To much less fanfare, Nike is releasing All-Star sneakers for their signature athletes, for which this Book 1 is part of that collection.
Inspired by the All-Star game that was played in Phoenixduring the 95-96 season, they feature a purple upper with turquoise-outlined black Swooshes on the sides. Booker’s no. 1 appears on the lateral forefoot, with “95” appearing on the rear wheel as another call back to the 96 mid-season event.
Below the aforementioned upper resides a black midsole as well as a black and orange rubber outsole.
